Day
01 : ARRIVAL IN BALIKPAPAN – LOA JANAN (L,D)
After your arrival at Sepinggan Airport of Balikpapan you’ll be met and
drive to Loa Janan about two hours by car. Here we will board on the houseboat
and start cruising Mahakam river to Dayak Land, overnight and meals on the
boat.
Day 02 : MUARA MUNTAI – MACONG –
TANJUNG ISUY - HOUSEBOAT (B,L,D)
Morning arrive at Muara Muntai village, join village excursion through
the long wooden bridge, then gen on motorized canoe to Tanjung Isuy crossing
Jempang lake and through OHONG RIVER to reach a big longhouse at Mancong have
known LAMIN MANCONG, you will see kind of birds and monkeys on OHONG River,
afternoon proceed to Tanjung Isuy Village the Dayak land of Benuaq. You will be
welcomed by Dayak performance of Benuaq. Afternoon return to houseboat,
overnight onboard.
Day 03: MUARA PAHU, KEDANG PAHU RIVER, MOUNT BAYAN, TERBISAK, UPSTREAM
(BLD)
Arrive at Muara Pahu, cruise upstream the Kedang Pahu River by canoe for more then one hour by canoe to Mount Bayan to visit Terbisak Dayak village known of it’s Longhouse of the Benauq Dayak tribe which is still habituated by about 100 Dayak people living in their community house, and traditions of dry rise fielding and hunting, continue downstream by canoe, along the river bank, we will enjoy the exotic nature, and wildlife as otters, leave monkeys, endangered proboscis monkeys and birds, before we move to the delta of the Belowan river as a black water peat swamp forest land, with opportunities to spot the fresh water dolphins in the colliding stream of the Kedang Pahu and the Bolowan River. Afternoon, return to houseboat for upstream to Melak

OMBAU ASA, TERING (BLD)
Arrive in Melak then drive to Eheng by Jeep / Minibus passing beautiful highland to reach the old longhouse of Dayak Tunjung. Afterwards visit Kersik Luway and explore the forest, if lucky the famous black orchid can be seen. Afternoon to Ombau Asa waterfall, an exciting place for swimming. Return to houseboat and continue downstream Mahakam River to Tenggarong
Arrive in Melak then drive to Eheng by Jeep / Minibus passing beautiful highland to reach the old longhouse of Dayak Tunjung. Day 05 : TENGGARONG – BALIKPAPAN –
HOTEL (B,L,D)
Morning arrive at Tenggarong where you will opportunity to join city
tour and visit Mulawarman Museum, where the former Kutai Kingdom inheritance
are displayed. Lunch on board while dawnward to Loa Janan, arrive at Loa Janan
then by car to Balikpapan, accommodation at Hotel. Dinner at local restaurant.
Day 06 : HOTEL – AIRPORT (B)
Morning is free at own leisure until the time for transferring to
airport for next departure.
