1. Day:
Arrival to Banjarmasin - transfer
to Mercure Hotel / Galaxi Golden Tulip
After
pick-up by your personal English speaking guide at the airport in Banjarmasin
transfer to hotel Mercure Hotel or Galaxi Golden Tulip, free at
own leisure ( no meals)
2. Day:
Floating market in Lokbaintan -
Cempaka village /
diamond mine - Martapura / gem
grindery - Cahaya Bumi Selamat /
shopping complex - Loksado – visit to Malaris Dayak Tribe – amandit River Lodge
/ Meratus resort Loksado
Early
in the morning you will be piced up from
hotel then start for a voyage on Martapura river in a traditional motor boat
„klotok“. to the floating market in
Lokbaintan. Selling and shopping on the river is a purely women’s work and
women protect themselves from sunshine by large hats called „tangguis“. Here
you can take amazing photographs. Along the river you can observe native people
during their daily activities. Return to Hotel for having breakfast, The
journey continues next approx. 40 km southeast from Banjarmasin South-East
Asia for its diamond, gems and gold market, visit of a gem
grindery. In Martapura, visit to shopping complex Cahaya Bumi Selamat,
possibility to buy some gems. Then your trip continues next 125 km (approx. 3
hours) north-east to province
of Hulu Sungai Selatan
3. Day:
Malaris Longhouse – Loksado
village – bamboo rafting – Lodge ( b/l/d)
After
breakfast in Meratus resort, by short walking 30 minutes to reach MALARIS long
house through hanging bridge, you will see kind of plantation such cinnamon
trees, gummi trees, kind of bananas, and other typical medicine plantation of
the dayak people.Arrive at Malaris you will visit tha grand longbouse we called
it “BALAI MALARIS”, this long house still use for grand harvest party and other
ritual ceremony to cure the illness, some of the people still believe for
medicineman. After visit longhouse proceed to Loksado village to see the
activities of local people and try to make a communication. Return to lodge for
having lunch, after lunch you will start for a sensational voyage on Amandit
River on a traditional bamboo float! This is one of the highlights of this
roundtrip! Bamboo floats were traditionally built by Dayak tribes for
travelling to the market in the province town in order to sell their goods and
then they disassembled their floats and sold also the bamboo and walked back to
their village – a several days walk through the jungle. Your float will be made
especially for you and for this occasion. The voyage takes around 2 hours, is
absolutely safe and opens spectacular views in the tropical nature. These
floats are called “lanting” and are operated by experienced local pilots.
Afternoon return to lodge for accommodation, dinner at lodge
4. Day:
Loksado – Airport Banjarmasin –
Pangkalanbun – Kumai - Tanjung Puting
Reserve - Rimba Ecolodge
After breakfast check-out from the hotel,then
proceed to the airport of Banjarmasin by car in appoximetaly 3,5 hours then get
a flight by KALSTAR etd 11.45, ETA 12.10, arrive at Pangkalanbun be med your
local guide then transfer to Kumai harbour then you will get on your own
houseboat, which will be your float for the next 2 days, then up the Stream of
Sekonyer River reaching Tanjung Puting Reserve. During the trip you can relax
and observe from your houseboat flora and fauna of the jungle. Tanjung Puting Reserve
is famous not just for its orang-utans but also other apes such as long-nose
monkeys (Nasalis larvatus), some rare bird species, long-tailed macaques and

5. Day:
Tanjung Putting Reserve - Pondok
Tanggui / orang-utan feeding - Camp Leakey
After
breakfast at the lodge embarking your houseboat and first stop at Pondok
Tanggui, one of the observation stations in Tanjung Puting Reserve, where
orang-utans are registered. At around 09.30 you will reach a 30 minutes
trekking path guided by one of the reserve rangers, where Orang Utans feeding
take place. After this unique experience trek back to Pondok Tanggui and then
up the stream again approx. 2 hours to Camp Leakey Camp
Leaky
6. Day:
Tanjung Puting Reserve - Camp Leakey
After
breakfast at Rimba Ecolodge check-out and embarking again your personal
houseboat - return to Camp Leaky Camp Leaky
7. Day:
Pankalanbun – transfer to the
airport
After
breakfast at Blue Kecubung, transfer to the airport in Pankalanbun, where this
unforgettable tour meets its end. (From Pankalanbun is possible to take a
flight to Semarang
