Good Friday procession or known as Semana Santa is a spiritual procession that usually done by the people in Larantuka, the eastern part of Flores. The procession started from the Portuguese during their colonization period in Flores. This tour package would be perfect for those who wish to celebrate Good Friday with other pilgrims to experience one of the great celebrations of faith in Catholicism. In celebrating Semana Santa Procession, FLORES KOMODO TOURS offers the spiritual tour package and combining the tour with visiting some tourism places around in Flores such as the Three Color Lakes of Kelimutu, different beaches, and local villages. Tour starts on Wednesday and end on Monday.

DAY 1: FRANS SEDA AIRPORT OF MAUMERE – MAUMERE CITY TOUR I (L, D) – WEDNESDAY - APRIL 12th, 2016
On arrival at Frans Seda Airport of Maumere with your flight, you will meet our guide. We will visit “Kristus Raja” praying garden and Saint Joseph Cathedral of Maumere after check in to the hotel. You’ll have time to take some pictures and if you wish for praying or quiet time. Lunch & dinner is
included at one of our local restaurant. Spend your half day rest in Maumere city before continuing the journey to Larantuka city. Welcome to Flores Island…

DAY 2: LARANTUKA TOWN (TIKAM TURO) (B, L, D) – THURSDAY - APRIL 13th, 2016
After breakfast we will drive to Larantuka city early in the morning.  Upon arrival in Larantuka we will check in to the hotel and spend some free time. In the afternoon, take a look around seeing some of the local people working together to make TIKAM TURO. TIKAM TURO is a traditional light pole done by planting small poles on the right and left side of the road use for the Good Friday Procession. The light source of TIKAM TURO itself is from candle. Lunch and dinner will be at local restaurant.

DAY 3: LARANTUKA TOWN (TUAN MENINO & GOOD FRIDAY PROCESSION) (B, L, D) – FRIDAY - APRIL 14th, 2016
Breakfast at your hotel. We will sail to Wure village in the morning for praying at the church with other pilgrims and then back to join the sea procession from Wure village to Larantuka to see the statue of TUAN MENINO accompanied by prayers and hymns. In the evening, at 18.00 o’clock we will go to the Good Friday procession to commemorate the passion of Christ and back to hotel for the night.

DAY 4: MAUMERE TOWN CITY TOUR II (B, L, D) – SATURDAY - APRIL 15th, 2016 
After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Maumere town. We will check in at the hotel before going to “Bunda Segala Bangsa” spiritual tourism area at Nilo. On this site you’ll find a 28m tall Mother Mary statue located 1,600m above sea level and a Ritapiret seminary, a pl ace where Pope John Paul II spent a night. Lunch and dinner will be at local restaurant.

DAY 5: IKAT WEAVING STUDIO – SIKKA VILLAGE – KOKA BEACH – MONI VILLAGE (B, L, D) – SUNDAY - APRIL 16th, 2016
After breakfast, we will drive to Ledalero Seminary in the morning to join the holy mass. Kampung Sikka is the next destination; we will visit an Old Portuguese church that was built in 1899. Afterwards, we’ll continue driving to Paga beach for a relaxing time, swimming and lunch. We will stay at Moni village for an overnight.

DAY 6: KELIMUTU LAKE – SOEKARNO HOUSE – AROEBOESMAN AIRPORT OF ENDE (B, L) – MONDAY – APRIL 17th, 2016
Breakfast at your hotel at 04.00 AM and check out, we’ll proceed to Kelimutu Volcano to enjoy the beauty of three colored lakes. On the way to Kelimutu Lake, over the sunrise you can see the beauty of many wonderful flora and fauna such as Casuarina tree, Rosewood, Edelweiss, Porcupine, Wild
Boar, and "Gerugiwa" birds that rarely seen on other place. The native people have a legend about Kelimutu Lake. They believed that Kelimutu is the reincarnation of their forefather's soul. Before lunch at one of Flores authentic cuisine restaurant we will stop at the Bung Karno-The First President of Republic of Indonesia Museum an extradition house during his years of exile in Ende. Then we’ll head off to Hasan Aroeboesman Airport of Ende for your flight back to Denpasar or other place. Thanks for your visit to Flores Island. See you next time.
